If you have questions on fair housing or landlord-tenant counseling, and are unable to attend a clinic, call one of the following organizations for legal assistance and housing resources.
Housing Rights Center (HRC)
The Housing Rights Center (HRC) works to promote justice and equality in housing. HRC provides El Monte residents with free housing counseling and fair housing education, investigates housing discrimination, and advocates for fair housing rights, including assisting with disability accommodation requests.

Housing Counseling
HRC offers free, confidential housing counseling to El Monte residents.

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County
Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) primary mission is to combat the effects of poverty by accessing the judicial system to work toward lasting improvements in the lives of individuals and families and in the community. NLSLA provides legal services that lead to improved health, expanded economic opportunities and neighborhood development.
Help is available at no cost to qualifying residents in the areas of Family Law, Immigration Law, Administrative (Public Benefits) Law, Housing Law, Employment Law, Health Law and Community and Consumer Law.
