Due to the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, the City is not enforcing street sweeping parking violations at this time. Starting the afternoon of March 17, 2020, and continuing through May 15, 2020, the El Monte Police Department will not issue parking tickets for street sweeping parking violations.
Although street sweeping parking enforcement will be on pause, street sweeping itself will continue as it is important to public health. This is an effort to assist our residents as they deal with changes in their everyday lives such as the closure of schools and changes in work schedules. We do ask residents who are able to move their vehicles to do so, to assist us in maintaining our City streets clean. Handicap/Red Curb and fire hydrant tickets will still be issued.
