The City of El Monte invites you to join Mayor Andre Quintero as he delivers the State of the City on Saturday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall East.
Within the last year, the City has advanced key projects and initiatives, such as affordable housing and homelessness. Mayor Andre Quintero will be discussing how El Monte has been responding to these regional issues in a way that serves as an example for other communities.
For example, El Monte was the first City in the San Gabriel Valley to develop affordable housing for homeless veterans. Today, the City, in partnership with Mercy Housing and Hollywood Housing, is building two affordable housing projects for veterans and their families, and income-qualified families.
Like its commitment to affordable housing, Mayor Andre Quintero will be unveiling the City’s specific strategies to address homelessness.
Mayor Andre Quintero will also be highlighting the City’s efforts to stimulate economic growth by attracting new businesses, such as world-recognized hotels and other companies like Norms, Jersey Mikes, Goodman Logistics and Starbucks to name a few.
Following the State of the City address, community members will also have an opportunity to meet with Department Directors and enjoy a light lunch.
