Chris began his police career in 1992 as a police officer in the San Gabriel Valley. In 2000, Chris was hired by the City of El Monte Police Department working as a police officer. During his career Chris has held the following positions:

  • Corporal
  • Firearms Instructor
  • Use of Force Instructor
  • Patrol Sergeant
  • Administrative Services Sergeant
  • Lieutenant Watch Commander
  • Lieutenant of Detective Bureau
  • Captain of Field Services
During Chris' career he obtained his bachelor degree in Criminal Justice Management. In 2015 Chris completed his master's degree in Public Administration at the University of La Verne.

Chris has been married for 25 years and has 2 children.
