Cindy Galvan is a passionate and bilingual social worker who advocates for youth justice and education. She works at the Youth Justice Education Clinic (YJEC) at Loyola Law School’s Center for Juvenile Law and Policy in Los Angeles, where she provides case management and support clients in school and court settings. She also attends policy meetings with various organizations to enact change within education and juvenile justice systems.

With over five years of experience working with vulnerable populations and communities, Cindy has developed strong skills in restorative practices, interpersonal communication, and case management. She has a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a graduate fellow for the College Prep Program. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated cum laude and received an award for outstanding contribution to the School of Social Ecology. Cindy's goal is to empower youth, their families, and their communities to realize their full autonomy and potential.
